A COMBINED 20 jobs have been added to the payroll at Belfast's Park Centre with the openings of Poundstretcher and Pep & Co.

Variety discount retailer Poundstretcher is occupying 7,000 sq ft of space while Pep & Co, part of the Poundland brand, has also brought its fashion ranges to the centre.

Stephen McGeown, director of Park Centre owners Latt Ltd, said: “The addition of a Poundstretcher store, as well as the opening of Pep & Co, is excellent news for the centre and the local area, with both significant investment and an important jobs boost.

“New Look, Connected Health, Specsavers, Card Factory, Peacocks, Louis Boyd Menswear, and the O2 store have all signed new long-term leases.

“Due to demand we have now built additional units in the centre which are available for lease.”

Laura Galloway from CBRE, who worked with the Park Centre to secure the Poundstretcher investment, revealed: “Discussions are at an advanced stage with other brand names which we look forward to adding soon.”
