Places for 20 in second Fin TrU legal services academy

A SECOND Assured Skills Academy in legal services with Belfast and Derry company FinTrU will deliver 20 training places to individuals with degrees who wish to retrain in the legal aspect of financial services.

Training will be delivered remotely over a five-week period by Belfast Met, Ulster University and Queen’s University, and participants who complete the Academy will be guaranteed an interview for a position with FinTrU.

Economy Minister Paul Frew said: “FinTrU is a successful and growing local employer and I'm pleased my Department is again working in close partnership with the company to offer an Assured Skills Academy, which have a strong track record of providing high quality training while also providing businesses with the skills and talent they need to grow.

“This is the second time we have offered an Academy in the legal aspects of financial services. Three of our local further and higher education institutions will be working collaboratively to deliver a high quality learning experience for those successful in their application.”

Those selected for the academy will receive practical training by industry experts and will have the opportunity to develop the core skills needed to take up exciting new graduate roles in FinTrU.

Applications are open at http://www.nidirect.gov.uk/assured-skills until July 23. No experience is required but applicants must hold a 2:2 degree or better in any discipline.
