PRIVATE nursing and care provider T-Gem has announced plans to create 50 jobs in Belfast.

The Dundrum headquartered company has already recruited 20 people into its expanded Belfast operation, with plans to increase the headcount to 70 in the next 12 months.

T-Gem Healthcare said its city expansion includes a £10,000 investment in offices at Russell Business Centre opposite Belfast City Hospital.

Director of nursing Mandy Lacey said the move was a significant development for the care provider.

“We have set ourselves the task of opening our Belfast office to create 70 jobs in the city in the next 12 months to deal with a great need we have identified, particularly in the south and east of the city,” she said.

“This will further our aim of providing a high standard of care to help people remain in their own homes, among their families and neighbours and in their communities by providing the care and support they need.”
