AN app designed to enable customers to order and pay for food and drink from their table has recorded more than 80,000 sales since June.

B-Express, founded by Glens of Antrim native Eunan McKillop, processed more than £500,000 of sales inside three months, with almost 17,000 new users in Northern Ireland.

The company is anticipating an upsurge in activity after the reopening of ‘wet pubs’ on September 21.

“Reaching a milestone of £500,000 within a three month period highlights the efforts venues are going to in order to prevent congested bar serving areas and uphold social distancing guidance,” said Mr McKillop.

“The reopening of wet pubs in September signals a further significant opportunity to grow the app, with further new clients coming on board in advance of the 21st.

“With the app now tailored to facilitate orders of food and drink across partnership venues, thus adhering to government guidelines, we expect to see significant growth in the coming months."
