GROUND has been broken on a new £3.4 million housing development in Co Antrim being built by Vaughan Homes.

To be named St Saviours Gate, the scheme at Parkgate Village will see the creation of 13 new detached and semi-detached homes.

And it has already sparked interest from first-time buyers and movers in the area, with the first house set to be completed by next summer.

St Saviours Gate is the latest site to be added to the Vaughan Homes portfolio. The business, which employs ten people along with a core team of 35 specialist subcontractors, will have completed over 700 homes across Northern Ireland by the end of next year.

Its managing director Bryan Vaughan said: “We are delighted to be bringing our latest vision to reality with this purchase, meeting the growing demand in Antrim from home-buyers keen to relocate, upsize or buy for the first time.

“Parkgate is a hugely desirable, well-located area with a growing community and we look forward to introducing new homes to the village.

“This purchase represents the latest phase of our expansion plan to help introduce more innovative, luxury family homes to Northern Ireland and we are thankful for the continued support of AIB (NI).

“We have almost completed the construction of a similar development, Hilltops in Lisburn, which has garnered exceptional interest and speaks to the high-quality design, building work and finish.”

Paul Doyle, relationship manager at AIB (NI), added: “The St Saviours Gate development responds to a gap in the market and we are proud to support this and the Hilltop projects.

“We look forward to this latest development coming to market and look forward to seeing the new homes come to life.”
