SOUTH Derry company Bloc Blinds has secured a listing of its new Bloc Xtend roller blind in select stores of the family-run interiors chain Harry Corry.

The creation of the product was part of a £250,000 investment by the Magherafelt-based manufacturer, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

The innovative system features an extendable barrel and offers a made-to-measure black-out fabric and a unique fabric changer system, allowing consumers to easily furnish their window with no need for accurate measurements, where they can purchase the pole in store and order their custom-cut fabric online and hook on in seconds.

The new product has launched across Harry Corry stores in Bangor, Coleraine and Lisburn as well as Harry Corry online.

Bloc Blinds founder and managing director Cormac Diamond said product development is crucial for the company to cement its position as an industry leader.

He said: “Our partnership with Harry Corry is an important step in the growth and development of Bloc Blinds. Part of our business strategy is an ongoing investment in NPD - and brand growth has been driven by continuous product improvements and a focus on the latest consumer insights and market trends.

“We’re excited to roll out the Bloc Xtend concept over the coming months, and for the chance to partner with such an established name as Harry Corry, one of Northern Ireland’s best-known family firms.”

Gareth Corry from Harry Corry added: “We're delighted to have a local manufacturer on board with this great new product. We always aim to offer our consumers the best quality products to furnish their homes and we look forward to entering this new relationship with Bloc Blinds.”
