US technology firm opens new Belfast office to support global expansion

A US technology firm has set up a new Belfast office, creating eight jobs.

Push Technology, which has bases in Silicon Valley and London has opened a new eight-person support centre in the Scottish Provident Building on Donegall Square West to support global expansion plans.

The company specialises in real-time data streaming technology for business applications and leading brands across industries including; financial services, energy, retail and healthcare use its Diffusion platform.

The new Belfast office will provide technology expertise and services to Push Technology’s global customer base, which after success in the UK and EU markets, is rapidly expanding in the US and Pacific Rim markets.

Sean Bowen, CEO of Push Technology said Belfast was the ideal location for the company's third office.

"Belfast stands out for the strength of its technology services workforce and strong supply of talent," he said.

“The ever-expanding need for secure, highly-scalable, event-driven data to be distributed in real-time is driving our success worldwide. To support our growth and facilitate services delivery, we have chosen to locate our hub centre in Northern Ireland."

Invest NI has offered £48,000 financial support towards the eight new jobs, which include a range of software engineering, sales and marketing roles.
