A NORTHERN Ireland restaurant chain is to open a new £900,000 Banbridge outlet, creating up to 30 jobs.

Moe's Grill has confirmed it will open its doors at The Boulevard at the start of the summer and will a 6,000 sq ft unit next to centre’s existing dining facilities, the Omniplex cinema and Ninja Boxx.

The family-owned business, which operates eateries in Antrim and Magherafelt, is the latest to set to up at the centre and will become the fourth this year after men’s formalwear chain Suit Direct, handbag brand, Radley and luggage manufacturer, Samsonite, which opened on Monday.

Darren Clarke, director of Moe’s Grill said it was an easy decision to set up at the shopping complex.

“The transformation that has taken place at The Boulevard, from the roll out of the rebrand, to the growing number of high-end retailers, made it an easy choice for us when we were considering a suitable location to open our third restaurant."

“There is a natural synergy between the typical shopper at The Boulevard and our target diner, and we are looking forward to expanding and opening our new restaurant in this incredibly successful shopping destination," he said.

The new tenant is a welcome boost for the centre after women’s fashion retailer LK Bennett announced just last week it will close its two outlets in the north, one of which is located at The Boulevard.

Alastair Coulson, managing director, Lotus Property, owners of The Boulevard, added:

“We are proud to welcome a locally owned family restaurant to the centre and are committed to providing the best retail and leisure experience to our customers.”

Construction has already commenced on the new restaurant, which represents an overall investment of £900,000. It will join existing food and beverage outlets at The Boulevard including Linen Hill Kitchen & Deli, Starbucks and Costa.
