HOLYWOOD-based consultancy Strategic Planning has rebranded to become Gravis Planning, coinciding with the company's expansion into the Republic.

Established in 2003, the practice advises on all aspects of planning and development, working with a range of clients including private developers, house-builders, landowners, local authorities, public sector bodies and financial institutions.

It has advised on some of Northern Ireland’s most significant development proposals since formation, including Graham’s award winning headquarters in Hillsborough, the South-West Acute hospital, the Strule Education campus, the proposed Belfast Power Station, and major grade a office, housing and retail developments.

The company has also announced the opening of an additional office in Dublin. It will initially have three staff and will bring Gravis Planning’s integrated offering to the Irish market.

Richard Bowman, group MD of planning consultancy, said the new brand reflects the standard of service the company provides to its clients.

He said: “We’re proud of the work we’ve done over the last 15 years and feel the Gravis Planning brand gives us a fantastic platform to grow the business further in Northern Ireland and launch our services in the Republic.

“We’ll continue to provide strategic advice with a strong commercial focus and we’re looking forward to supporting further economic growth and investment, through good planning and engagement across the UK and Ireland.”

David Kerr, group MD of strategic communications, added: “A key part of our offering is the fact we have a dedicated strategic communications team advising on all aspects of engagement relating to new development projects.”
