THE fastest growing beauty retailer in the UK is opening a new store at The Junction in Antrim, creating 25 jobs.

Beauty Outlet has announced a £1 million investment at the retail and leisure park, which will create the firm's largest store in the UK, occupying a 3,860sq ft unit adjacent to Next.

The new outlet, the retailer's second in the north after The Outlet in Banbridge, is the latest to open at the Antrim-based centre, which is currently an overall £30m expansion. Already a number of changes are in progression, including the construction of a new McDonald’s restaurant and drive-thru.

Alastair Coulson, managing director of The Junction owners, Lotus Property, welcomed the latest investment.

"The arrival of this popular and growing brand will add further choice for consumers in an ever-changing retail market," he said.

“We want to ensure that we create a retail and leisure park which will encourage customers to shop, eat and relax. The addition of this strong brand is a testament to the confidence we have in redeveloping The Junction as Northern Ireland’s largest and most exciting retail and leisure destination, and we will continue to move quickly forward with further plans to build on our ever-growing success.”

Beauty Outlet director, Graeme Eastwood said the company was delighted to be increasing its footprint in Northern Ireland through the new Antrim store.

“We have had great success in similar retail schemes across the UK and look forward to working closely with the team here in Antrim to build our brand presence," he added.

Beauty Outlet is due to open its new Antrim store at The Junction on July 28. The opening event will include exclusive discounts and offers, as well as a beauty demonstration from Northern Ireland’s make-up artist, Louise McDonnell.

Beauty Outlet is the fastest growing beauty retailer in the UK, with a current network of 22 stores.
