FIRST Trust Bank has announced a significant enhancement to its customers’ digital service through the launch of Apple Pay.
As part of major investment in its overall digital offering, particularly in its award-winning mobile app, the Bank has been keen to deliver more digital payment methods and Apple Pay is the latest addition to this strategy.
When you use a credit or debit card with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device, nor on Apple servers. Instead, a unique device account number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the secure element on your device. Each transaction is authorised with a one-time unique dynamic security code.
Head of First Trust Bank, Adrian Moynihan said:
"There has been a clear demand from both our business and personal customers to provide Apple Pay facilities as part of our overall offering, and I am delighted that we are now able to do so.
