Omagh business man Connor McCann has created a new website that allows property buyers and sellers to compare quotes from over 200 UK firms at the touch of a button.

EasyConveyance.com promises to save users money, with quotes based on price, location and customer rating.

After choosing a conveyancer, instruction progresses entirely via the website, which also allows for the sale or purchase to be tracked.

The website has been backed by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the founder of easyJet and owner of the easyGroup. Sir Stelios has agreed to licence the name 'easy' and provide his expert support.

A 2017 survey by the National Association of Estate Agents found that 79 per cent of members believe the home buying process to be outdated. Meanwhile 40 per cent of buyers and sellers found the process took longer than expected, according to a gov.uk report.

Connor, who is the founder of Omagh and co.Tyrone based letting agent Omarentals said:

"The home buying process in the UK is outdated and problematic, with over 25 per cent of house sales collapsing each year. This can be stressful and costly for both buyers and sellers, with Which? magazine rating buying and moving house as more stressful than having children, changing jobs or getting married.

"EasyConveyance.com will do away with much of that stress, allowing users to concentrate on other important aspects of the property buying or selling process.”

EasyJet's Sir Stelios commented:

“It’s time for the home buying process to be brought into the 21st century. EasyConveyance.com will provide the latest technology and innovation required to deliver a more transparent and accelerated solution to the current slow and clumsy system in the UK.”
