TITANIC Belfast, recently named as the world’s leading tourist attraction, has appointed Judith Owens as chief executive in succession to Tim Husbands.

As its director of operations and deputy chief executive since 2012, she has been fundamental to the success of the award-winning tourist attraction looking after all front of house operations, including ticketing, events and the visitor experience, as well as recruitment, facilities management, learning and outreach programmes.

Alongside leading the operation of all signature events at Titanic Belfast, including BBC Sports Personality of the Year red carpet event, MTV Sounds and BBC Proms in the Park, Judith has also been integral in the business’ commercial development to include the operation of SS Nomadic and the Titanic Exhibition Centre.

Prior to her role at Titanic Belfast, she was head of operations and house manager at the Waterfront & Ulster Hall for 14 years, and she is regarded as one of the UK’s most experienced and established operational venue management professionals.
