Three-way expansion for leading Belfast cosmetic company BPerfect

LEADING Northern Ireland cosmetic brand, BPerfect, has expanded its product range to coincide with expansion of the workforce and business base at Northumberland Street, Belfast.

The expansion includes a 20 per cent increase in staff numbers, trebling of the size of company premises and doubling of retail distribution across Ireland.

Four new beauty products have been added to the top-selling range: a 'Master Palette' devised in partnership with celebrity make-up artist, Louise McDonnell 'LMD Make-up'; concealer and highlighter, salon professional spray tan and back tan applicator.

Founded by businessman Brendan McDowell in 2012 with just £500 cash, the BPerfect range, favoured by celebrities and influencers across the UK and Ireland, is now stocked in over 900 retail outlets.

And, in March this year, the entrepreneur starred on RTE's 'Dragon's Den' and secured an offer of £80,000 from two 'Dragons', allowing the company to grow by almost 50 per cent in less than six months.

"We are thrilled to be launching this range of new products," Mr McDowell said. " It has been the result of many months of planning, developing and designing what is set to be our best-selling products yet."

The new BPerfect LMD Master Palette product features a range of sculpt, blush, highlight and eyeshadow powders in 15 different shades, each of which is highly pigmented and can also be used as face powder.

Launched in stores earlier this month, the product is already proving to be in high demand, having sold out online in less than two hours in an online pre-sale.
