TECHNOLOGY company CloudMigrator365 has revealed that it has completed the successful migration of more than six million people across 57 countries to the cloud, coinciding with a three-fold growth in its Belfast-headquartered team using its migration technology.

Led by its Northern Ireland-born managing director Darren Mawhinney, who returned to the city having worked internationally, the tech firm helps companies of all sizes to become truly digital by successfully migrating email and data to the Microsoft’s Office 365 cloud.

Its customers include global brand leaders, IT professional services providers and small businesses

A general term for the delivery of hosted services over the internet, cloud computing enables companies to use software or applications as a utility (like electricity) rather than having to build and maintain computing infrastructures in-house.

Cloud adoption worldwide has grown significantly in recent years, and new research is predicting a surge in uptake by companies in 2017.

CloudMigrator365 (www.cloudmigrator365.com) is growing rapidly, adding the likes of LinkedIn, YMCA (Canada) and the University of Bristol to its ever-expanding global client-list. It is also currently expanding its workforce and global partnership network to support this growth and demand with the support of Invest NI.

Mawhinney says: “The international response to CloudMigrator365 has been phenomenal, and from our base in Belfast we have so far helped companies in 57 countries to migrate while ensuring the safety and sovereignty of their data.

“We are delighted to be working with world-class organisations including LinkedIn. We are currently recruiting a number of new positions in response to increasing demand from companies such as these, who are keen to invest in a simple, secure and cost-effective cloud migration solution.

"I’m extremely proud this is being developed and delivered in Northern Ireland where we have been able to build a highly skilled global technology team alongside support from Invest NI, which has made a difference as we continue to significantly scale our operations.”

Steve Harper, Invest NI’s executive director of international business, said: “Having benefitted from Invest NI employment and trade support, CloudMigrator365 has been able to capitalise on new market opportunities and growing sales. Our employment support is enabling the company to scale its business to support an increase in productivity and export sales.

“I'm also delighted that the company has taken full advantage of the trade expertise we offer which has been invaluable in positioning it competitively. It recently utilised our export market visits programme to develop its sales in Europe, Australia, UAE and the US which has helped it to meet new partners and secure this new business.

"Securing trusted brands like LinkedIn, YMCA and Bristol University will open up additional opportunities for further growth and will further strengthen the company’s export potential in the future.”
