DISCOUNT retailer B&M is recruiting for 30 jobs at the Westwood shopping centre in west Belfast ahead of its re-opening after nearly a year.

The store closed last June to undergo a comprehensive internal and external make over programme to create a new look for customers.

And B&M - founded in 1978 in Blackpool and now one of the leading variety retailers in the UK with 500 stores and 22,500 staff - has confirmed that its enhanced new store will open on Thursday April 27.

The store currently employ 28 people, but with the sales floor increasing in size by 45 per cent and customers being offered a more extensive range of products across all departments, it will see B&M take on an additional 30 colleagues.

The jobs (details at www.bmstores.co.uk/careers) range from sales assistant to floor managers and cleaners, and there are a mixture of full- and part-time positions – temporary and permanent.

B&M Westwood store manager Stuart Walker said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of these additional jobs for local people, and believe customers will be delighted with the new and improved store.

“We're all excited to get the doors open and welcome our customers through the door in a few weeks.”

B&M is one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers, selling wide variety of branded products including toys, food & drink, pet products and health and beauty.
