JOHN Keane, managing director of Ardmore Advertising and chair of its sister public relations firm LK Communications, has been appointed vice-chair of Colorado-based Worldwide Partners Inc, a global advertising and marketing communications network comprising more than 65 independent agencies employing 4,500 people across 50 countries.

Advertising industry veteran Keane joins an established senior management team at WPI, whose partner agencies manage more than $2.5 billion in worldwide advertising expenditures for clients including Lufthansa, Samsung, Pfizer, Nike, Mini, Procter & Gamble, 3M and Caterpillar.

Ardmore, which Keane founded in 1989, joined WPI in 2013 and was awarded ‘Perfect Partner’ status a year later for its innovative approach to delivering successful research-based campaigns and for its commitment to knowledge-sharing, education and best industry practice.

He said: “I'm delighted to have the opportunity to support the development and strategic direction of WPI, which is a shining example of the collective responsibility the industry takes in working together to build a globally-connected advertising and marketing sector which puts integrity, best industry practice and shared learning at its heart."
