NORTHERN Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry head Ann McGregor has completed an internal shake-up of the organisation's management structure to reflect the growth of the body and to meet the increasing needs of its 1,200 members.

Reporting directly to the chief executive will be the heads of business services, business development and communications and policy.

Among the organisation’s new look senior management team is Christopher Morrow, who first joined the company is 2009 through a Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) graduate scheme. He becomes head of communications & policy, working closely with the chief executive, president and NI Chamber Council.

Also forming part of the three-piece team is Sandra Scannell as head of business services. One of the longest serving members of the team at NI Chamber, having joined in 2007, she has worked across a number of key areas in the organisation.

She continues to have responsibility for NI Chamber’s range of support services including the extensive calendar of events, growth and export support programmes, connections to the global Chamber network, export documentation certification services, export training and business support and information.

And Kirsty McManus completes the new-look team as head of business development, responsible for growing membership, account management, liaising with corporate members and overseeing NI Chamber’s ambitious growth agenda.

She is the former director of the centre for SME Development at Ulster University Business School which is aimed at helping SMEs achieve their business goals.

Chamber chief executive Ann McGregor said: “We are a member-driven policy-focused Northern Ireland-wide business advocacy organisation whose aim is to help grow the local economy.

"As NI Chamber continues to grow both in terms of membership and support services, we want to ensure we have the people, expertise and structures in place to deliver what is needed.”
