Songwriter Stevie Scullion, better known as Malojian, has released a new song and video inspired by the current uncertain political climate.

Called Dirt, the track from the Lurgan musician references Boris Johnson, Donald Trump and Rupert Murdoch while the video features animated images showing Brexit and global warming.

Stevie said: "We are living through extremely dangerous times and this past few weeks I've been feeling totally powerless and stressed about it all.

"I wanted to turn that energy into something positive.

"Two weeks ago I started writing this song and together with some of my friends we've made something that I'm extremely proud of."

Malojian is currently playing a run of live shows every Sunday in September in the American Bar, Belfast. All shows have sold out.

He has recorded a new album with Grandaddy's Jason Lytle. A release date is yet to be confirmed.
