INDIE rocking Londoners The Big Moon return to Belfast in April following their raucous yet sparsely attended debut show at QUBSU's Bar Sub last year.

Signed to Fiction Records, the hotly-tipped quartet's debut LP Love In The Fourth Dimension is due out on April 7, so fans old and new will have a couple of weeks in which to get acquainted with their newest material prior to the gig.

Along with their previously released singles Cupid, Silent Movie Susie and the early EP tune Sucker (a re-recorded version of which will appear on the album), their slinky sounding current single Formidable offered listeners a taste of what to expect from the album and indeed The Big Moon in general: off-kilter melodic guitar pop that's both strange and anthemic, powered by singer-guitarist Jules Jackson's distinctive swooping vocals.

The last Belfast gig found Jules, Celia, Fern and Sophie in fine form despite the low turn-out, and the hard-touring unit will have put a load more well-received shows under their collective belt (including their first US tour at the end of last year) by the time they return to play a hopefully better attended Oh Yeah Music Centre.

Don't miss 'em.
