Just announced: Stendhal Festival 2016, August 12 & 13

Therapy? will bring dangerous levels of disquiet to Stendhal 2016

THE award-winning Stendhal Festival of Art has just announced its musical line-up for 2016's event in August.

This year Ireland's 'Best Small Festival' will feature five headline acts to enjoy, atop a bill which will also include over 40 other musical turns, plus arts, crafts, comedy, poetry and more besides.

Homegrown alt-rock legends Therapy?, hip-hop turntablist sensation DJ Yoda, feted folksters Lynched, festival-ruling Bluegrass juggernaut Hayseed Dixie and former Mercury Prize winner Badly Drawn Boy will be the big musical attractions at Stendhal 2016.

The Limavady-based festival will also showcase plenty of the best up-and-coming Northern Ireland-based acts of the moment: The Bonnevilles, The Emerald Armada, Ports, Ryan Vail, Paddy Nash & The Happy Enchiladas, The Woodburning Savages, Joshua Burnside, Lore and Jessica Doherty are all confirmed.

"We believe that this year’s line-up is the strongest we have ever assembled," enthusesfestival director Ross Parkhill.

"We strive to have as much variety as humanly possible and we will once again have something for everyone at Stendhal this summer.

"We will be announcing the second wave of acts, along with our comedy, poetry, theatre, art and family programmes very soon."
