Watch: Blade Runner sequel teaser trailer finally arrives

Ryan Gosling will star alongside Harrison Ford in the sequel

Drop everything! The first look at the eagerly-awaited Blade Runner sequel is here.

Film bosses have unveiled a teaser trailer for Blade Runner 2049, which will see Harrison Ford reprise the role of Rick Deckard from the 1982 dystopian cult classic.

Ryan Gosling leads a group of new faces, including Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Mackenzie Davis and Ana De Armas.

The latest film sees new blade runner LAPD Officer K (Ryan) uncovering a secret.

He then sets off to find Deckard, who has been missing since the events in the first film.

Sicario’s Denis Villeneuve is directing the new film, which takes place decades after Ridley Scott’s original, which was set in Los Angeles in 2019.

It’s safe to say that the sneak peek has got fans on Twitter pretty excited.

Of course not everyone thinks that such a classic should be revisited.

Blade Runner 2049 is due to be released in 2017.
