THE hit Netflix Originals series starring Kevin Spacey returns for a fourth season of binge viewing-friendly political drama, with all episodes available for streaming from today.
When we last saw him, President Frank Underwood (Spacey) was negotiating a somewhat bumpy first term thanks to his divisive social security revamp, AmWorks and increasingly poisonous relations with Russia.
The Machiavellian manipulator was also coming unstuck on the home front, with his First Lady, Claire (Robin Wright) declaring her intention to leave him.
Series four finds an increasingly pressurised president getting tough as he locks horns with the one person who knows all his dirty secrets – and who has employed amoral political strategist Leann Harvey (Neve Campbell) to help her use some of them against him.
Underwood will again be relying on chief of staff/enforcer Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) to help him keep hold of The White House, especially with a new power-hungry rival played by Joel Kinnaman entering the fray.
