TICKETS for a fresh Belfast airing of The Blindboy Podcast at the Ulster Hall go on sale tomorrow, following on from a sold-out show at the same venue last year.
Satirist Blindboy Boatclub, one half of plastic-bag-wearing comedy hip-hop duo The Rubberbandits, has reached new audiences at home and abroad with his chart-topping podcast, where topics explored include mental health, feminism, guns, racism and history.
The podcast offers "an unusual touch of realism", we're told, the Limerick man – who also has a best-selling book, The Gospel According to Blindboy, to his name – provoking "soothing, thought-provoking discussions" with his 1.5 million a month listeners.
His upcoming solo tour also includes two three-night stints at The Sugar Club and Vicar Street (both in Dublin) in January and April respectively.
:: The Blindboy Podcast, Ulster Hall, Belfast, Thursday April 23 2020; tickets via Ulster Hall Box Office (028 9033 4455) or ulsterhall.co.uk, on sale from 10am Thursday December 5.
