ROCK booking agent turned crime thriller writer Paul Charles will celebrate the release of his latest novel with a free reading at No Alibis in Belfast tomorrow night.
Departing Shadows is the 11th mystery in the Magherafelt-born author's critically acclaimed Christy Kennedy series. It's a deceit-laden tale of murder and intrigue which takes the dogged London DI from Camden Town to Brighton and back – as well as into the arms of the West End’s most celebrated up-and-coming actress, Nealey Dean.
When a death just outside a diplomatic compound finds Kennedy's investigation immediately stymied by the invocation of diplomatic privilege, his investigation brings him from London’s hallowed palaces of power to seedy lap-dance clubs. Along the way, Kennedy discovers just how far some people will go to protect their darkest secrets.
