TONIGHT sees the launch of north Belfast’s newest/only (and, therefore, 'best') comedy club at the Duncairn Centre for Culture & Arts.

The Duncairn Comedy Club's first ever headline slot is being ably filled by The Savage Eye's John Colleary. The star and co-writer of the three times IFTA nominated RTE2 comedy series previously appeared in Belfast at last year's Feile an Phobail comedy night, has featured on RTE’s The Panel and is a regular on the Tommy Tiernan Show's segment The Gusset Brothers.

Support comes from Paddy McGaughey and Lorcan McGrane, both regulars on the Irish comedy circuit who have appeared on the BBC’s Live at The Sunflower.

Your resident MC and host will be north Belfast's very own Terry McHugh. Having recently appeared on hit BBCNI panel show The Blame Game, Terry has toured with local comedy legends Tim McGarry and Patrick Kielty and is currently opening for fellow Belfast funnyman Jake O'Kane.

As is increasingly becoming a trend in the local comedy world, this will be a 'bring your own event' – and Terry has specifically asked us to mention that he likes a can of Guinness or two.

:: Doors 7.30pm, show 8.15pm. Tickets £8 in advance from Duncairn.com or on the door.
