Tim McGarry will headline the first Thirsty Thursday of 2018. Hopefully he'll be a bit happier by then.

BLAME Game host and veteran comedian Tim McGarry will be kicking off Thirsty Thursdays' 2018 season of monthly 'carry-outs and comedy' nights at The Crescent Arts Centre in Belfast.

Currently in rehearsals with the rest of his Hole In The Wall Gang for the imminent new episodes of their divisive BBCNI favourite Give My Head Peace – which will be recorded this month for screening later in the year – Tim will be bringing his acclaimed stand-up comedy skills to bear on the headline slot at the first Thirsty Thursday of 2018 on February 15.

Support on the night will come from Rasharkin comic Paddy McGaughey, Notorious Barrick Boy Cormac MacDiarmada and north Belfast's second most famous escapee, Terry McHugh.

Belfast's newest comedy club, Thirsty Thursdays launched during the Belfast Comedy Festival last year with two sell-out events. All of their events operate on a 'bring your own alcohol' basis – so don't rock up for an evening of mirth only to start complaining that there's no bar, lest you be left looking like the sort of ill-informed fool who's ripe for lampooning by each and every turn on the bill.
