Tom Robinson returns to Belfast for a gig and evening of conversation next week

TOM Robinson will be playing his classic debut LP Power In The Darkness in full next Wednesday at The Empire in Belfast.

Having whetted the public's appetite with a succession of popular tunes like 2-4-6-8 Motorway, Don't Take No For An Answer, Up Against The Wall and gay rights anthem Glad To Be Gay throughout 1977, the Tom Robinson Band's first full length Power In The Darkness hit number four on the album chart in 1978.

The following year found the TRB visiting Belfast for a fondly remembered Rock Against Racism show at a sold-out Ulster Hall.

If you were there and fancy reminiscing with the man himself – who now has a big following as a new music-enthused DJ on BBC 6Music – be advised that Tom will be taking part in a free 'Getting To Know' chat session at Oh Yeah in Belfast on Tuesday December 5.

The following night, Tom and co will be joined by some special guests for their show at The Empire, with details to be leaked via social media over the coming days.
