FORMER Public Image Limited bass wrangler Jah Wobble brings the current line-up of his Invaders of The Heart to Belfast tomorrow night for a God's Waiting Room show at The Maple Leaf Club.

Wobble and co released the excellent LP The Usual Suspects earlier this year, featuring 23 tracks featuring songs from his solo work and Public Image Limited – including a superb dub groove powered revisitation of the John Lydon-led group's eponymous debut single – plus choice covers, with guest appearances from Aurora Dawn and Holly Macve.

"This band has been a delight to play with over this last couple of years or so," enthuses Mr Wobble.

"Similar to my first early 80s version of the Invaders, they can all really play.

"Plus all generic bases (no pun intended) are now covered. It’s a big deal to me, because it’s like a 35 year old dream, has finally been realised.

"This is how I heard The Invaders of the Heart ‘sound’ all those years ago. A classy fusion of genres. Groovy, dubby but always changing and developing, never standing still."

Sounds like a good Saturday night soundtrack to me.
