ACCLAIMED RTE music show turned major music event Other Voices is coming to Belfast next week.

On the evening of October 28, The Duncairn's School Hall will host The Other Voices Stage, a live music showcase featuring sets from trad giants Beoga, Portadown's Jealous of the Birds, Kildare pop-rock duo Picture This, Hampshire born, Donegal bred Rosie Carney and Derry punks Touts.

The show will be recorded by Other Voices for broadcast on both BBC and RTE television.

Full ticket details for The Other Voices Stage will be announced shortly via Othervoices.ie and its social media sites.

The live music showcase will be preceded by another pair of special Other Voices events.

On Thursday October 26 and Friday October 27, schools, youth and community organisations from across Belfast will get to interact with some of the biggest names in the digital, technology and creative industries as part of the Digital DNA Creative Quarter, while the Belfast Edge conference – an extension of the annual Ireland's Edge conference which is part of Other Voices – will take place in The Theatre at The Duncairn Arts Centre during Saturday October 28.

The conference "aims to create discourse and collision of ideas around creativity, culture, technology, education and investment policies, firmly placing creativity at the centre of all policy making and practice".

The line-up will be announced shortly – free tickets are available via Eventbrite.ie/e/the-belfast-edge-tickets-38662349127.

The Belfast Edge will also be streamed live on Facebook at the @IrelandsEdgeHQ page.
