Second time lucky? Kasabian reschedule Belfast Custom House Square date

Kasabian have announced a rescheduled date at Belfast's Custom House Square for next year

KASABIAN did not endear themselves to fans in Belfast when they cancelled their headlining appearance at Custom House Square at the last minute due to singer Tom Meighan being hospitalised with a severe vomiting bug – but the Leicester band have already confirmed they'll have another go at it next year.

A new date at Custom House Square has been announced for Monday August 20 2018, with all tickets for the cancelled show remaining valid and refunds also available from point of purchase for those who have now forever forsaken them.

As many predicted, Tom recovered from his illness in time for Kasabian to perform at the Reading and Leeds Festivals later in the week.

The frontman announced "I'm still alive!" to the crowd as he took to the stage for their headlining appearance at the latter event on Friday night, during which they missed an obvious opportunity to dedicate a cover of Nirvana's All Apologies to disappointed Irish fans and those who flew in from further afield for the Custom House Square show.

:: Tickets priced £33 are on sale now via Ticketmaster outlets
