IT'S hard to believe it's now a quarter of a century since The Commitments hit cinemas – but now fans of Alan Parker's soul music-packed comedy drama about a plucky Dublin band on the make are in for a treat with its new 25th anniversary DVD and Blu-ray editions.
Out now, these special features-packed discs include pristine digital transfers of the film itself – which was adapted from Roddy Doyle's novel by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais – plus new interviews with director Parker (who also provides an illuminating commentary track) and the cast, a vintage 'making of' feature, the 1991 music video for the band's cover of Roy Head & The Traits' soul standard Treat Her Right, photo galleries and more.
If you like the sound of that, then read on brothers and sisters – because we have three copies of the new Blu-ray to give away.
For the chance to win, just answer the following easy question:
In which year was The Commitments originally released?
a) 1991
b) 1995
c) 2001
