A PHOTOGRAPHY competition at The MAC Belfast is asking local snappers to submit their favourite MAC picture. The MAC has been shortlisted for the Art Fund Prize for Museum of the Year 2015, with the competition running alongside the judging process.
The Art Fund is looking for the images that most creatively represent the six finalist museums. Images can explore any aspect of the museum such as the architecture, a favourite object in a collection or a snapshot of visitors enjoying the space.
The overall winner will receive a photography weekend for two in Berlin and have their image published in Art Quarterly’s Autumn 2015 issue.
Renowned photographer Martin Parr is the official photographer of the Art Fund Prize and will also judge the national photography competition.
Participants must be over 18; the deadline for submissions is Sunday May 31. The winner will be chosen by a public online vote from June 8 to 22, to be announced on June 25.
