Near Omagh on the Gortin Road the 400 acre Gortin Forest Park contains most of the Gortin Glen Forest.
The best way to see the mostly conifer forest is to drive or walk the 8km tarmaced path through it. The Park has a herd of Japanese Sika deer, a tiny zoo and a café. You can also walk from the Park along a 16km section of the Ulster Way trail to the Ulster American Folk Park.
Drum Manor Forest Park Drum Manor Forest Park 4km west of Cookstown on the A505 has lakes, a butterfly farm and arboretum and camping area.
Parkanaur Forest Park Near Dungannon on the A4, Parkanaur Forest Park is being cultivated as an oak forest. It has white fallow deer said to be descended from a doe and a hart given by Elizabeth 1 to her Goddaughter at Mallow Castle. There is also old farm and forestry machinery on display, short nature trails and a camp site.
