Tower Museum

The Tower Museum on Union Hall Place, which has won several museum and tourism awards, including the 1994 UK Museum of the Year, is a good place to go to get a comprehensive an unbiased an grasp of Derry's four turbulent centuries of history.
Its exhibitions include models, holograms, tableaux and historical artefacts.
 

The Workhouse Museum

The 19th century workhouse on Glendermott Road, which has been restored as The Workhouse Museum holds exhibitions about Derry, the Waterside, the Famine and an exhibition called the 'Atlantic Memorial' about Derry's role in the Battle of the Atlantic.
