Cootehill - Bellamont House, a Palladian villa which was home to the Coote family of planters who included Cromwellian leader Richard Coote who became State Governor of New York, New Hampshire and Massachusetts (Free entry in the afternoons)

Kingscourt - St Mary's Church with attractive stained glass windows, Dun a Ri Forest Park

Milltown - Drumlane Monastic site

Shercock - pretty small village on the shore of Lough Sillan
