MUNSTER full-back Andrew Conway expects a testing clash against Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun on Friday (7.35pm, live on TG4), which starts a run of games he says are probably “the toughest” in Europe.

Munster top the PRO12 table and face second-placed Leinster, followed by a trip to face Connacht after a Champions Cup double-header against Leicester.

“From here to the end of January is one of the toughest runs of games that you’ll probably see in Europe this year,” said Conway.

“But that’s brilliant - we’re really excited for it. We’ve been working really hard throughout pre-season. I’ve had a few injuries that have kept me out, and took a bit of momentum from me over the last while, but the lads have been playing great and it means that whenever you come back in - you have to step up and you have to perform to be in with a shout.”

Conway, who scored a couple of tries in last week’s win against Treviso, feels that the game on the fast 4G playing surface could also make for an exciting spectacle.

“Glasgow play an open game so we could be getting plenty of ball and there could be plenty of counter attack opportunities on both sides,” he said.

“They’re an unbelievably exciting trio in the back-three - they’ve got some good centres and Finn Russell’s a top quality player. We need a big performance and there are places up for grabs."

Munster make six changes in all, four of them in the pack. Niall Scannell returns at hooker, Jean Kleyn and Billy Holland get starts in the second-row and Peter O’Mahony comes back in at six. The other two personnel changes are at fly-half and centre, where Ian Keatley and Rory Scannell start.
