St Malachy's International Supercup takes place this weekend

St Malachy’s College in Belfast is hosting the inaugural St Malachy's International Supercup this weekend.

Four basketball teams from Ireland and England are taking part in the tournament with six games on Saturday and three on Sunday.

Ten sports science A-level students have organised the competition and money raised from ticket sales will be donated to mental health charities TAMHI which promotes positive mental  health through sport and Lighthouse.

The participating teams are St Malachy's College, Belfast, Killester Basketball Club from Dublin, Scoil Phobail Sliabh Luachra Rathmore, Kerry and Cheshire Phoenix Basketball who are from Chester in England.

The first game is at 9.45am tomorrow and the final will be played at 1.15pm on Sunday with the closing ceremony at 2.30pm.

Tickets are £2 and you can buy them at the door of St Malachy’s Sports Hall.
