CATHAL Toal saw off a determined challenge from Paul O'Reilly to win the Ulster Men’s Senior final last Sunday.

Toal started brilliantly and was almost a bowl up after three shots before O’Reilly rallied and closed the gap. However, Toal was in superb form and he kicked on to win the title and can now look forward to a rematch against Aiden Murphy in the All-Ireland Final. Murphy beat the county Armagh man in their previous meeting at White Church in 2014.

“We all know Cathal will certainly have every chance on becoming the senior All-Ireland champion 2019, good luck Cathal,” said a spokesman.

“Hard luck to runner-up Paul O’Reilly, who is a big name in our sport off bowling.”
