Northern Ireland's Commonwealth Games team have now won nine medals after a successful day in the boxing ring.

Kristina O'Hara is guaranteed silver after winning her semi-final while Steven Donnelly, Brendan Irvine and Carly McNaul also secured medals by winning their quarter-final fights.

Light-fly O'Hara willl face Indonesia's Mary Korn in the final on Saturday.

Seven of the team's nine medals have been secured by boxers.

A further boxing medal could also be won by men's lightweight James McGivern today as he faces a quarter-final showdown with Jean John Colin from Mauritius.
