PEARSE OG, ARMAGH: The annual Donal Powell U10 tournament takes place on Saturday at Pearse Óg Park. Registration takes place from 9am, with games commencing at 10am sharp. We look forward to welcoming 30 teams from around the country and wish all the young gaels and management teams the best of luck. All help welcome on the day. ST JOHN’S, DRUMNAQUOILE: St John's and Castlewellan masters (over 35s or not playing competitive football) will play a charity match on Saturday at 4.30pm. If anyone is interested in dusting down the boots and pulling on a jersey once more, get in touch with Eugene O'Boyle on 07764 962676.

ST MOCHAI’S, DARRAGH CROSS: Professor Eamon Phoenix is coming to the club on Wednesday, September 18 for a talk focussing on the Gaelic revival of 1900, and 1916 to partition with a county Down focus. The talk will begin at 7pm, and all are welcome to attend.

ST PATRICK’S, DONAGHMORE: Meanwhile, beginner and intermediate Irish classes start on Tuesday, September 17 - beginners at 7pm, intermediate at 8pm. MADDEN RAPAREES: The club is hosting a fundraising concert in the community centre on Friday, September 20 at 8.30pm. It will be a show full of local talent, with music, song and dance. Admission will be £10, with all proceeds in aid of Katie Rose’s Journey.

BALLYMARTIN: The club will be running a six week adult Irish language class/craic/cuppan tae in the evenings, starting in October. It's for beginners so there is no pressure, only £10 for the six weeks. Interested parties should get in touch with cultural officer Sinead on 07793 085281.
