HURLER Simon Doherty can't lose when Armagh play Ulster University in the McGurk Cup on Saturday.Simon is in the unique position of playing for Armagh while at the same time managing the UU side in the annual tournament organised by QUB.With kick off at 2pm he said it would be "interesting" for him having a stake in both camps. "It’s an absolutely brilliant competition’, said Simon. "It’s perfect preparation for counties and universities, so there are clashes but I won’t be neutral in this game."

Video by Jerome Quinn Media.Named after former Queens and St John’s player Conor McGurk, and involving kids from Carryduff, the competition is in its fifth year and is hosted by Queens but also includes UU, Fermanagh, Tyrone, Down and Armagh. The Final is on January 12.
