One hurling fan travelled all the way from Florida in the US to watch a key match.

Cushendall fan John DeNovi, who has no Irish heritage, journeyed from Tampa Bay to watch his beloved club lose to Dunloy in an Antrim senior clash on Saturday.

Mr DeNovi, who is secretary of Tampa Bay Hurling Club, has followed Cushendall's progress for several years and has forged strong links with Antrim GAA.

"I was excited to see game up close and the high standard of play," he said.
