Seamus Power makes a fine start at Wells Fargo Championship

WATERFORD'S Seamus Power enjoyed a fine start at the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow yesterday.

Power fired a four-under par 68 to sit two shots off the lead held by Italy's Francesco Molinari.

Graeme McDowell is three shots further back after a solid opening round of 71 (one-under par).

Shane Lowry endured a difficult first day. The Offaly man had four bogeys and just one birdie in his three-over par round of 75.
