THE inaugural Devenish Antrim Club Allstars Gala awards night will take place at the Devenish complex on Saturday November 27 with all the votes being cast to decide the best performers in yet another memorable championship season at junior, intermediate and senior level in the county.

The top 15 hurlers and footballers, Young Players of the year, top scorer in both codes and overall Footballer and Hurler of the year will be celebrated in a special evening, hosted by BBCNI's Mark Sidebottom.

A panel of journalists of Brendan Crossan (The Irish News), David Mohan (Belfast Media Group) and members of the Saffron Gael team nominated their best players for each position before moving to a public vote to decide the award winners.

Each player will receive a specially designed O’Neill's sportswear playing kit, kit-bag, plus two complimentary tickets for the awards Gala at the Devenish.

Speaking ahead of the event, Antrim county chairman Ciaran McCavanna said: “This is a very positive initiative which will put our club players front and centre, giving them, and our club championships, the respect and coverage they deserve.”

The Devenish's Managing Director, Jim Conlon said he was looking forward to "strengthening ties" with the GAA clubs in Antrim, O'Neill's Sportswear and the county board, adding: “We are delighted to be recognising the talent in the senior, intermediate and junior championships in what should be a great awards evening.”

John Tumilty from O’ Neills Sportswear said: “O’Neills Sportswear are honoured to be associated with the inaugural Antrim Club Allstar Awards and we're delighted to be involved in this showcasing of local GAA, grassroots talent at the Devenish Complex.”

County managers Enda McGinley and Darren Gleeson will be in attendance.
