Minor player suspended after serious verbal abuse incident

AN underage club player in Ulster has been suspended after an alleged incident of serious verbal abuse in a high-profile minor football game.

The incident, which is reported to have happened last month, only came to light after the game.

The Irish News has learned that the alleged perpetrator has been sanctioned with a proposed time-based suspension by the relevant county board, which could yet be appealed to Ulster Council.
