CARRYDUFF: The club’s ‘Gaelic for mothers and others’ section is having a blitz on Saturday from10am-12.30pm. In its third year, there will be over 20 teams participating ie 220-plus mothers and others taking part representing six counties.

ST JOHN’S, DRUMNAQUOILE: Following on from last year’s successful sponsored juvenile walk, the club will hold this year’s fun walk on Sunday. Everyone is welcome, including dogs on leads. The walk will start at 2pm. Please assemble in the main car park at 1.45pm. Sponsorship forms are available at juvenile training. Our friends at The Fancy Fox and Eat Fresh have sponsored water and fresh fruit. We will also be announcing the winners of the ‘tops on tour’ competition.

ST BRONAGH’S, ROSTREVOR: There are still a few tickets left on our bus to the ladies’ All-Ireland final. Book your ticket now with Marty Brown (07714 84824) or Margaret Devlin (07956 629556). If you have pre-booked a ticket, please secure your place with payment ASAP as the coach is filling up.

ST PATRICK’S, DONAGHMORE: The Francis Donnelly tournament takes place at the club on Sunday. Anyone available to help should contact Colly Woods 07767 291122, Marty O’Neill 07801 819 631, or the club phone 07879 814798. Referees, linesmen, runners, BBQ co-ordinator, scores co-ordinators all needed.

Meanwhile, beginner and intermediate Irish classes start on Tuesday, September 17 - beginners at 7pm, intermediate at 8pm. Classes last an hour and are designed to go at a pace that suits all. BALLYMARTIN: The third annual U10 tournament under the lights takes place on Saturday, October 5. Invites are currently being sent, running times etc are all being arranged. If you want to help referee, umpire, set up, steward or help in any way at all, please don’t hesitate to contact the club any member of the youth committee or youth officer Noel Kerr. Many hands make light work.
