There were 145 boys and girls in attendance, and they enjoyed the training from club coaches - including senior footballer and Armagh captain Rory Grugan - over the three days. BALLYMARTIN: The club’s third annual U10 tournament is scheduled for Saturday, October 5. Invites are currently being sent, running times etc are all being arranged. If you want to help referee, umpire, set up, steward or help in any way, contact a member of the club youth committee or youth officer Noel Kerr.

ST JOHN’S, DRUMNAQUOILE: The walking group is running a bus to the Echlinville Gin distillery on the Ards peninsula on Saturday, September 7. There will be an optional walk to work up a thirst beforehand. The bus will leave St John’s at 9am, returning 6pm(ish). ST JOHN’S, BELFAST: Fit4Life activities resume at the club in September. There will be yoga every Thursday, starting September 5 (7-8pm), pilates every Tuesday starting September 17 (7.30-8.30pm), with circuit classes every Monday and Wednesday starting Monday, September 16 (6pm). The rambling retirees meet every Tuesday, starting September 17 (10am), the Golden Eagles resume with a trip to the Connelly Centre on Friday, September 27. Finally, a group of 16 club members, including chairman Gerry McCann, are walking the Camino across the Pyrenees from September 3-11.
