VIDEO: GAA history in Britain

Britain GAA President Paul Foley sums up the success of the first ever Northern GAAmes in Manchester lrecently: ''We couldn’t have asked for any better, it’s gone way beyond our expectations'' 

No fewer than 870 children playing on 60 teams from schools and clubs took part in the event over two days, with teams travelling from Scotland and Yorkshire. 

''We’d like to see this as an annual fixture on the calendar, showcasing the good work and development of the games in Britain,'' says Foley. 

Club members from the Glasgow Gaels, Dunedin Connollys, as well as St Brendan's and St Lawrence's in Manchester, all feature on this report below by Mark Quinn Video.
