KICKHAM’S, CREGGAN: To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Paddy McLarnon Cup Ulster U21 Club Championship, the club would like to invite anyone who has helped make the competition such a huge success to come along to the clubrooms tomorrow between 7.30pm and 9.30pm for complimentary drinks, a light supper, and to enjoy some traditional music.

ST ERGNAT’S, MONEYGLASS: There will be a big breakfast from 9am-12pm on Sunday in the clubrooms. Come along and enjoy a delicious six piece fry with tea/coffee for £5. Proceeds in aid of the senior team development fund.

GLASDRUMMAN: The awards night will take place in Quinn’s, Newcastle on Saturday. Contact any committee member or PM the Facebook page if you are going so we can get numbers.

BALLYMARTIN: The annual club dinner dance will take place in the Flagstaff Lodge, Newry on Saturday. This night will especially celebrate the senior men’s team of 1993 who won the intermediate championship. Music from Tiny, tickets/buses info available from any committee member or via the Ballymartin Inn.

ST JOHN’S, DRUMNAQUOILE: The senior presentation and dinner dance takes place on Saturday, March 9. If you wish to attend, contact secretary Maureen Ward.

Also, the club is delighted to announce that another of Steven Poacher's innovative GAA coaching clinics will be held in St John’s, also on Saturday, March 9.

Poacher will be joined by two of up and coming coaches Conor Laverty and Benny Coulter, both of whom have a wealth of inter-county experience, sharing 15 senior county championship medals between them.

ST PATRICK’S, DONAGHMORE: Huge congratulations to Niamh Mc Crystal on becoming solo singing county champion at the Scor Sinsear. It was a great achievement to win her first senior county title following double success at junior Scór in recent years, with more to follow at the next round in Glenavy on March 9.

A St Patrick’s Day big breakfast is being planned by the culture group. Being held in the Torrent complex, this is sure to be a fun family day for all.

On Saturday 23rd February Fifty participants in the Cumann Pheadair Naofa Operation Transformation programme got on a bus in Warrenpoint at 7.30am last Saturday and headed ton Phoenix Park in Dublin for RTE’s Operation Transformation 5K run. The group have been training for six weeks in a couch to 5K programme, ably led by running coach Dermot Mathers and assisted by Gareth McClorey, Daniel Bird, Christy Carr, Darren Rice and Brendan Rice, with the Phoenix Park 5K their ultimate goal. All crossed the line with no regrets. This is the final week of the programme, with a night of presentation and celebration for all on Saturday

ST PETER’S, WARRENPOINT: Congratulations to the ladies’ Ceili team and the mixed Ceili and set teams, instrumental and ballad group who now progress to the county final in Banbridge tomorrow.

DOWN SUPPORTERS’ CLUB: We are running a day bus to Carlow on March 16, leaving Castlewellan Lower Square at 7.45am, Hilltown at 8am, Mayobridge at 8.10am and Newry Courthouse (across from the car-park on the Downshire road) at 8.30am. To book a seat, phone Seamus McClean on 07873 761804.

The St Patrick’s weekend trip to Carlow also leaves on Saturday, March 16 at the same times and returns on Monday, March 18. Room prices are double/twin room £145 pp sharing and single room £175. Family rooms are also available, two adults and two children £315, two Adults and one child £300.

Payment for the overnight bus trip can be made before the Down v Offaly game this Saturday night. Both buses will stop for a brief spell on the way to the game and the way home from the game.

The Down supporters’ club will have a brief meeting in the Canal Court Hotel on Saturday night after the Down v Offaly game.
